Shayde and his digimon stepped through just in time to hear the question. "I should be the one you ask that actually."
Sephiromon stepped through as well, hearing just enough of shaydes responce to know what was up, so he waited patiently.
Shayde continued, "The Masamune, Murasame, and an odd looking amulet were combined to unlock him." Shayde pointed back at sephiromon with his thumb over his shoulder, "Only, back then, it required a fusion of me and my two digimon in order to unlock his power. Back then, we only got his power, not his form. Although he did take control, unless I shut him off. I probably could have shut him off by force but I never needed to, he always cooperated with me perfectly. Before that, the Murasame had corrupted my dark component. We'v fought him before, and now he fights by our side. Now, the murasame's influence no longer effects him. No dark power can corrupt him now.
"But that is off-topic. You asked about the catacombes. Its simple, Lunamon created the place to protect aspects of the Prophecy. She didnt know a whole lot about the prophecy, but she did know its purpose, and she did realise the importance of it happening. She protected it from those who would try to prevent it, not knowing that the good created could save the very ones who wanted to destroy it. The catacombes are literally the only safe place in existance right now, and its safty is very limited. Lunamon didnt make most of the protections placed here. A lot of the protections here are results of things she brought here. I do not know all of its secrets yet, but it is more than worth exploring. Yes, some harm may come, but the good far outweighs the bad. One such evil was already spawned here by trechery. But I think the evil spawned here has a purpose and its defeat may be simmilar to my dark counterparts...it may be that evil may have to be used to fight evil. When good cannot handle the darkness, another kind of darkness needs called. One that could colaberate with the light. One that realises that the balance is important for its very own existance. All I know is everything is centered on the balance between light and dark."
"Speaking of which." Darkdracomon piped up, just before evolving to his mega form. His light counterpart joined him.
Shayde laughed. "You never did like being small did you?"
"Who does?" His dark counterpart replied.
Sephiromon laughed as well. "At any rate, beyond that, Shayde dont know much...thats why he's here. I know more about the prophecy, but I cannot make any promises of information. My memories are rather vague at the moment. I believe you asked about the "Exile" earlier, did you not?"

Shayde nodded to Sephiromon.
Sephiromon nodded his head. "She is yet another darkness that can be turned to our side. Her exile by the great darkness has angered her. It cost her her life, and she attempted to corrupt a digimon that was sent to the data stream. Unfortunately, the digimon in question, according to the prophecy, will have a stronger resistance, but not enough to completely shrug her off. Bassically, she will be somewhat normal most of the time, but is supposed to be...shall we say...dangerous. Imagine a cute little furrball. Imagine it looks totally harmless, loves its friends dearly, and its worst nightmare is hurting its own friends. Now imagine a demon posessing it, and randomly making it tear into its own friends for just briefe moments, without giving it the luxury of a blackout. So it rememebers every outburst. That is what is supposed to happen, now, I dont know the rest well, but apparently the outcome of this mental battle can effect the entire war effort. If it goes wrong, our chances of survival drop from 50% to 5% roughly. Thing is, it says that the good outcome would be the one least expected. I dont know if this dark creature is to join us, or be overcome by the being it inhabited. All we can do is find it, and help the poor creature survive while it fights its mental battle. Nobody can interfere, even us, else we risk failyer.
"Bassically, we are in the absolute worst bind and our fate is decided by an entire, very long, chain of events, and if even a single piece is out of place, we could all suffer a fate worse than death. That is why this information is so sensitive. If the great darkness is able to totally ruin even one piece, our survival ends."
Shayde sighed, but managed not to look nervous in the least, through sheer will. "Well, it seems everything not only fell on me at once, but has also gone down the drain. So your telling me that if even one piece is out of place our survival rate drops to zero?"
Sephiromon merely nodded his head with a weary look on his face.
Shayde nodded then looked at the others then back again. "There was one last question."
Sephiromon nodded his head. "Yes, the writing. Most of what you see is bits and pieces of some kind of old facility, base, or whatever. I dont know. Its all been moved from its origional locations. I am guessing that origionally it was scattered, but the protections individually were no longer strong enough to keep the individual places safe, so they congregated all the defences into one spot to concentrate the cloaking and shielding, and of course, that meant that only one safe place existed, so all of the old works had to be concentrated into one place. Literally, this is the only place that he cant just up and get someone to easilly through dimensional manipulation such as portals. Catch is, there are plenty places safe from his direct sight, but none safe from his investigation by other means. The writing on these walls is older than I am, more than twice my age in fact, at the very least. I suspect there are bits and pieces that were around during the beginnings of the very first digital world. But I cannot confirm this."
Shayde winced at that one. "That would make the powers we have access to here rather great. Even if in the right hands, thats far too much..."
Sephiromon sighed and nodded his head. "Mabe the origionals intended it?"
Courage is my sword, hope is my shield, honor is the light that protects me from the darkness as I find my way through this dark world.
