Chapter 4: Ultimate Evil
****Afternoon, Dec 13th, 2023**** A dark shadow loomed over a city, as it's two components struggled to merge. Justimon, carrying a human boy in one hand, looked up at the mass upsettingly. "There has to be a way to stop it somehow..." The kid frowned. "This is your fault. You said you defeated Millenniumon already." "I wish it was that simple..." Justimon said. "Even the Millenniumon I defeated lives inside me. It just can't be defeated totally." "And why not?" Justimon sighed. "It exists throughout time and space. It can live on indefinitely. When it is killed in one time, it thrives in another..." The boy folded his arms. "Excuses, excuses..." Justimon lifted the boy up and looked at him straight in the eye. "If you still want to be difficult, I can just take you right back there to Aunty Amanda. Got it Corey?" Corey looked away. "Fine..." Suddenly, something formed from the mass of shadow... two distinct dragonic heads appeared from it. Justimon looked up. "Quickly, get out that D-Porter of yours, there's no time left! Corey fumbled out the D-Porter and activating it, as Justimon leaped through the portal it created. Millenniumon's energy started enveloping the entire universe shortly after... Justimon, still holding on to Corey, came out of the portal, entering another dimension. He landed on a nearby rooftop. Corey squirmed. "You can let go of me now!" Justimon dropped the protesting boy and looked on to spot a group of spirit foxes decending on them. "Sakuyamon!" Justimon exclaimed enthusiastically. The fox spirits formed into a human female shape, wearing pleated pants, a white kimono shirt with very long and wide sleeves, tabi socks, and a yellow mask in the shape of a fox's face. "You're okay!" Sakuyamon cried. Justimon looked back at the still open portal, which appeared to display only the staticy fuzz of a TV screen with bad reception. "I never thought it would happen... but Earth Alpha is gone..."

Back in Tourami...
"Since you are the only one that has the potential, we must unlock your hidden powers before it's too late." Yegiri explained. She started to speak once more, but stopped. "No, this can't be....."
"What is it...?" Kaori asked
Yegiri collapsed to the ground and looked down at her feet, which were vaporizing in a sprinkle of light. "Earth Alpha disintegrating..."
Kaori dropped to the ground beside Yegiri. "What'll I do?"
"Don't worry about me." Yegiri told Kaori, as her legs began to disintegrate. "In essence, since I'm the incarnation of that dimension, I'll die with it."
"At least tell me what to do!" Kaori asked in desperation as Yegiri was more than half gone. "How can I change all of this?"
"Go to the Core Field... Chronomon..." Yegiri uttered. She put her tiny hand to Kaori's face as it too was disintegrating. "I'm sorry I can not guide you any longer..."
"What's a Chronomon?" Kaori said, breaking into tears. "Please don't leave..."
"It's your destiny, child... I believe in you..." Yegiri whispered, as she disappeared completely.
"But why..." Kaori whimpered. "You didn't have to die like that..."
Kaori stood up and looked around. "I don't even know where I'm at... how am I supposed to even change what already happened?"

Kaori then wandered around the beach for a couple hours. She saw a few Digimon along the way, but none she deemed noteworthy to communicate with at this point. She finally got to a dead end, a rocky mountainside. She looked up and saw a Pteramon in a nest, as it spotted her as well. It peaked over the edge, looking down at Kaori. "What is a human doing in the Digital World right now?"
"...sorry." Kaori apologized. "I was sent here."
"Well you better go home now, those Demon Lords are up to something."
Kaori scowled. "Do you know where? Can you take me there?"
"I'm not going near that place, hun." Pteramon said and pointed across the sea. "You have better chances to swim there yourself."
"You're on your own there, kiddo." a Crabmon said as he scuddled by.
"You seem sad about something..." Pteramon pointed out.
Kaori sighed. "Well I don't like to spread bad news, buit I just watched a friend die..."
Pteramon gasped. "I'm sorry to hear that..."
"I just met her today, but I can't help but feel like I'm to blame for all this..."
"Makes you wonder, huh?" Pteramon asked. "That if you knew you could change everything, would you?"
Kaori thought for a moment, then looked back up. "Have you ever heard of Chronomon?"
""Nope, can't say that I have." Pteramon said as it covered it's eggs.
Kaori ran into the water and dove in, then popped her head back out. "Goodbye! Thanks for the directions!" she said as she looked up at Pteramon and waved, then dove back in and started paddling to sea.
"That works too..." Pteramon joked. "...good luck hun! You'll need it!"

Elsewhere in Tourami...
Beelzemon looked over at Lillithmon. "So I heard you was a human's pet before now."
"Hardly." Lillithmon said. "But I was graced with plenty of victims in my company when I awoke."
Leviamon, laying curled up on a rocky, floating platform above, peered out of his eye to an approaching figure. He stood up on all fours and stretched. Looks like Daemon, but he's holdin' something..."
Barbamon walked over to greet Daemon. "We wasn't expecting you so soon."
Daemon lifted the two smaller Digimon he was carrying up. "They have been reborn finally."
"In those forms?!?" Barbamon protested, looking down at them. "Alright, let's try to awaken Lucemon and Belphemon from their demi-forms."
"You'll do no such thing!" a weak but determined voice growled from the distance.
Daemon looked behind him, spotting a Digimon in the distance. "Anubismon! You still insist on getting in my way?"
A speeding ball of red energy flew toward Anubismon from behind Daemon and Barbamon, vaporising Anubismon into a data stream. Beelzemon flew after his shot and loaded the data before the others could comment. "You always were all talk." Beelzemon said to Daemon, sneering.

The 5 Demon Lords gathered around in the fiery crater. Daemon placed the newly reborn Lucemon and Belphemon down.
"We are ready brothers!" Leviamon hissed.
"Stop, please!" Kaori yelled, climbing down the crater.
The Demon Lords turned their attention to her as she maneuvered through the flames to the Demon Lords.
"Who is THIS?!?" Daemon growled angrily.
"Oh my, she actually came to us..." Lillithmon commented.
"Ignore the human." Barbamon ordered. Let's just get this over with."
Kaori watched on as a dark mist swallowed the 7 demons. The surrounding fire immediately vanished as the black mist spread. Kaori turned back and ran from the middle of the crater as the ground underneath her started to violently shake. Kaori fell to the ground, unable to stand from the tremors. She looked behind her as a gigantic figure emerged from the mist in the middle of the crater. "Am I too late? she thought."
The giant demon king materialized fully, towering over the crater. Most of the tremors subsided as Kaori managed to get herself back on her feet and run a little farther. The giant demon finally noticed her, looking down. "Such an insignificant creature." the monster bellowed. "It will give me great pleasure to to kill you first."
The demon reached down at lightning speed and grabbed Kaori up. He lifted her above his head. "Tyrantdevimon lives!!!" he bellowed, echoing throughout the Digital World, as he squeezed down on Kaori, totally crushing her.
