Now, if anyone's seen the preview for Savers, then they can tell, Daimon Masaru is a tombe and a half. He just goes jumping up and punches a giant Kokatorimon that could easily eat him.
This is definately a tombeish, goggleboy leader type habit. Tai, Davis, Takato, and Takuya were all couragous reckless tombes to some degree.
Even the in-game goggled people are tombeish. Okay, Jenni defines tombeism. That and her digimon.
Triven is kinda tombeish, look the whole Annie thing(okie, Giredi did that, but goggled people can follow random instructions).
Medoni researches these goobers, and got goggles because she does. And she has the 2nd highest DD in the system hating her. Not too smart:-P
I forgot what other Lerkurlians have goggles, but they'll have some trait of some sort that qualifies them as having goggles.
The other main trait of goggleness-being a leader of a group of DD.
Tai/Davis/Takato/Takuya all do this in their own ways, in their groups, and they all lived to tell the tale, plus their group can too, so despite being young tombeish boys, they did something right.
Who knows if Jenni can really 'lead' her group, but at least she focuses on making sure that they work together to get things done. And of everyone and bad things that happened to them due to the Re-ness, I think her losing 2 years of her life and not being able to remember it probably makes her come out of it a little worser than the others, which tends to be a leader/gogglish trait too.
Triven is still low ranked, so we'll have to see how far his goggleness will take him. But Davis had started out being a newbie DD, and became leader of even the experienced people, so Triven can grow into command too.
Medoni is captain of her division, and the primary reason that she has so much trouble and has to send her members on Am-missions is becuase High Captain Ineria hates her and orders them away.
So, now we can expect that Masaru will demonstrate some of these traits, especially since at the moment the group consists of 3 people(although season 3 did too and grew). So, it's predictable that Masaru will become the leader/goggleboy/main character of the season.
One slight problem.
He has no goggles.
Okay, Takato didn't start out in the season with goggles, and Davis broke his being a tombeish goggle boy, but by the end they did have goggles, so would Masaru? Then again, they got their goggles at the earliest digimon signs, and based on Masaru punching a giant chicken, I doubt this is his first tombeish digi experience.
It depends. This group of DD are older kids, so, does that mean they're older than kids and don't need silly things to represent being a leader?
I hope not since I frequently run around wearing goggles. In reality. And I turn 21 in less than 2 weeks. Age definately isn't a factor.
Nor is the digimon experience factor, since I (unfortuately) have never met a digimon.
So, what is up with the goggleless goggle boy?
